Unit 4 – Imaging of Neoplasm and Trauma

Imaging of Neoplasm and Trauma

In this unit our focus will be two-fold. We will be looking at the imaging of neoplasm and the imaging of trauma. We will be specifically looking at the various presentations of multiple neoplasms that may affect the brain, breast, lungs, GI tract and bones. Our evaluation of trauma will include the effects of trauma on the brain, lungs, soft tissues and bone.

Additionally detailed evaluation of pediatric fractures will include fracture types specific to the pediatric population. You will have an opportunity to learn more about the Salter-Harris classification of pediatric fractures.

Supplemental materials in this unit will include examples of various neoplasms as well as additional examples of trauma imaging.
