Unit Two - Metabolism
Metabolism
In this unit we will expand on the basic material presented in the first unit. We will be looking at the normal appearance of the chest and abdomen on x-ray. Various techniques for the evaluation of the kidneys and urinary tract will also be discussed.
Additional material in this unit includes a review of the imaging of airway disease, metabolic bone disease, biliary tree disease, physiologic abnormality of the GI tract, renal calculi, soft tissue calcification and physiologic abnormalities of the vascular system.
Supplemental material in this unit will include additional examples of the various physiologic and metabolic abnormalities explored in the unit.
