On the frontal study, the diaphragms are fairly flat with the interdigitations of the diaphragmatic slips being identified. The heart is long and skinny, the lungs are relatively increased in lucency.
The lateral film again demonstrates flattening of the diaphragm with the diaphragmatic domes almost being inverted. The AP dimension of the chest has increased (barrel chested). The lungs are noted to be quite lucent.
