Dr. Mukherji received his undergraduate education at Duke University and obtained his MD from Georgetown University. After completing his radiology residency at Harvard Medical School, he attended the University of Florida to complete a neuroradiology fellowship with an emphasis on head and neck imaging, his life-long passion. Dr. Mukherji was formerly a Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan where for many years he was Chief of Neuroradiology. He currently serves as a Senior Editor for three journals and is a consulting editor at the Neuroimaging Clinics and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America. He serves or has served as a co-investigator on 25 grants, published over 260 peer-reviewed articles, 57 reviews, 75 chapters and 13 books. His recent work focuses on biologic aspects of head and neck cancers and is specifically interested in imaging proteomics and genomics based on molecular imaging techniques. An excellent teacher, he has given hundreds of invited national and international lectures.
