Bi-County Community
Hospital (Osteopathic), a member of Horizon Health System, offers a suburban
experience in a 203-bed, full service, acute-care osteopathic facility providing
Level II emergency medicine facilities, cardiac, intensive care, physical
medicine and rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine,
hospice, as well as general and subspecialty surgery services. Located just
northeast of Detroit in Warren, Bi-County Community Hospital has provided
health care to Detroit's northeast suburban communities since 1966.
Bi-County's medical staff includes a majority of board certified specialists
with many years of teaching experience. The hospital sponsors osteopathic
internship and 15 individual AOA-approved residency programs with over 100
residents and 85 teaching attendings. In 1999, Bi-County completed a major
renovation and expansion of its emergency medicine facilities as part of a
long-range plan to continue to expand to meet the health care needs of its
community.
As a division of Henry Ford Health System, all house staff have extensive
opportunity for rotations at Henry Ford Hospital, the private 903-bed flagship
tertiary medical center of the System. The combined suburban and urban sites
provide unparalleled cultural and clinical diversity in training opportunities.

to over two million persons living in Southeastern Michigan. Detroit-area
