MSU Radiology introduces Digital Mammography
June 2001, East Lansing, MI
The MSU Department of Radiology announces the installation
of the General
Electric Senographe 2000D. This full field digital mammography unit offers
uncompromised imaging
quality. Images are acquired and viewed with almost no delay. The technologist
is immediately able to visualize the images so that in most cases any additional
views can be obtained without added delays for the patient. Electronic processing
of the image allows our radiologists to evaluate in greater detail all aspects
of the breast. These features are expected to be particularly helpful in the
evaluation of higher density breasts.
