Certification Program in Teaching of Human Gross Anatomy

The program consists of two courses totaling of 8 credit hours and a Teaching Practicum:

  • ANTR 551  Medical Gross Anatomy (6 credits)
  • ANTR 585  Directed Study in Human Prosection (2 credits)

TEACHING PRACTICUM PART 1: Under faculty supervision, each certification candidate will present a 2-week block of lectures in ANTR 350 - Human Gross Anatomy and Structural Biology.

TEACHING PRACTICUM PART 2: Under faculty supervision, certification candidates will assist in laboratory instruction in all subunits of ANTR 551 - Medical Gross Anatomy. Each candidate will assist in laboratory instruction in at least one laboratory period on each of the topics in the laboratory section of the ANTR 551 course pack.
