Joseph R. Pernicone, D.O., Ph.D.

Joseph R. Pernicone, D.O., Ph.D. obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from
Michigan State University in 1973. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University,
College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979 and finished a radiology residency at
William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan in 1984. Fellowship work in nuclear medicine, ultrasound and computed tomography at
William Beaumont Hospital was completed in 1986. He is now an
Associate Professor and has been a faculty member in the Department of Radiology since 1986. Dr. Pernicone’s professional interests include magnetic resonance imaging/angiography and teaching. His publications are mainly in the area of magnetic resonance angiography.
