Laura Symonds Ph.D.

 

Laura Symonds received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 1974. She completed her Ph.D. in Anatomy/Neurobiology from University of Pennsylvania in 1982. Dr. Symonds was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Biology Department at Princeton University from 1982-85 and in the Department of Human Anatomy at Oxford University in England from 1985-87. Dr. Symonds came to Michigan State University in 1997. She is currently an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the Departments of Psychiatry and Radiology. Dr. Symonds has published 15 peer-reviews papers and 22 abstracts. Dr. Symonds is currently serving on the Pfizer Pain Neuroimaging Research Group Advisory Board. She is the Faculty Member in Michigan State University Neuroscience Program and in Michigan State University Cognitive Science Program.
